I am Jonathan Chines, and I am honored to serve on the Wakefield Town Council.
I love this town, and my wife, Maria Muti, and I are proud to raise our four young children here. Between the beauty of Lake Quannapowitt, our rich history, the caliber of our schools, and spirit of our community, Wakefield has so much to offer. I ran for Town Council because I believe that with the right leadership, there is so much more we can do to move our community forward and improve life for our residents.
We can make Wakefield more livable for all residents, preserving affordability, promoting accessibility for all residents, and creating vibrant business districts downtown and in Greenwood.
We can have a renewed focus on citizen engagement in government, with meaningful opportunities for all residents to participate and learn about what’s happening in town.
We can invest in our future, addressing the problems at Wakefield Memorial High School, and finding long-term solutions for our Public Safety Building and Department of Public Works.
None of these things will happen without proactive and engaged Town Councilors. I pledge to bring energy, innovative ideas, and a respectful approach to addressing the challenges we face. Together, we can do more to move Wakefield forward.
